Project details

Our clients on this project had purchased this beautiful house in ‘original’ condition. It was perfectly liveable, but it was cold and inefficient because it was old. Our brief was simple: Modernise the house for comfort and efficiency, and extend downstairs for better living space. The first floor accommodation was sufficient, though we did modify the layout slightly.

The initial design phase was quite quite efficient taking circa 3 months from very first engagement to first design presentation. After a further 2 months the design was settled and contract were signed. A planning application was submitted immediately post contract and over a period of circa 3 months we had our series of design workshops to select all fittings and finishes for the construction drawings.

Work on site took 6 months, in line with the programme. The finished house is a modern family home that caters for our clients specific needs including working from home.
